Legends      If I needed to recognize somebody as a saint, I would need to state that my own legend would need to be Will Taubin, otherwise known as â€Å"Ratboy.† Will Taubin is a free-form BMXer, such as myself. We used to ride together until he moved to California two years prior. Will Taubin has shown me the three most significant things throughout my life. The principal thing that he instructed me is to define an objective and never surrender until you have accomplished it. The second thing that he trained me is â€Å"You can in the event that you think you can.† The third thing that he encouraged me is â€Å"You just get out what you put into something.†      Will’s objective since about age 10 was to become supported by a BMX enterprise. No one accepted that he could get a support. He rode his bicycle regular and had individuals film him and sent his tapes to various bicycle organizations in a would like to get supported. Three years back at the 2-Hip Meat the Street Contest, the proprietor of Standard Bikes approached on the off chance that he needed to ride for them. He said yes and he set it was the best thing that at any point transpired.      The second thing that Will instructed me is, â€Å"You can on the off chance that you think you can.† One day we were riding and he did a rear entryway oop 180 barspin to fakie weak crush to half taxi 180 out on the smaller than expected slope sub-box. Regardless of how enthusiastically I attempted, I was unable to land the halfcab 180 out of the fakie weak. After about a half-hour of me attempting this he rode up to me and stated, â€Å"You can in the event that you think you can.† I got back onto the deck of the smaller than usual incline and stated, â€Å"I can do this.† I took off and got the primary portion of the stunt quite great, however on the 180, my front tire sneaked out. I attempted again and I landed it consummately.      The third thing that Will encouraged me is â€Å"You just escape something what you put into it.† Will revealed to me that when we were looking at biking, yet I utilize that adage on all that I do in my life. For instance, I never expect a passing mark on a test on the off chance that I don’t study.

Online Recruitment

As indicated by BusineeDictionary. com, â€Å"Human Resource Management incorporates exercises, for example, HR arranging, enlistment, determination, direction, preparing, examination, inspiration and compensation. It targets creating individuals through work. † In human asset the executives, enlistment is one of the most significant procedures in an association. As indicated by BusinessDictionary. com, â€Å"recruitment is a strategy of finding and utilizing best qualified candidate, regardless of whether outside or inner association, for a vocation position in a generally reasonable and financially savvy way. There are various sorts of employment enlistment, for example, online enrollment and commercial enrollment. In the 21st century, huge numbers of the associations utilizing on the web enrollment to scan the best possibility for organization, as the web have changed employment chasing and enlistment. There are barely any sorts of online enrollment. One of the techniques is proficient sites. Case of expert site is www. shrm. organization, where a few up-and-comers who are scanning for HR work go into that site. They have explicit callings, aptitudes and not general in nature. The subsequent sort is boss site. It very well may be created by various managers or can be organization own site. One model is www. directemployers. com, which is the main steady, organization possessed online enrollment set up by Direct Employers Association. The last kind is work board. Occupation searchers become mindful of the opening where the scouts post employments and quest for competitors. Case of occupation board is www. jobstreet. com. (Gosh, nd) actually, there are as yet numerous different techniques for online enrollment. Online enrollment has favorable circumstances and burdens in helping association for enlistment and choice. It has made progressively productive on the work procedure for each enormous and little association. For those organizations who are as yet utilizing paper applications have drilled to utilize web for significant segments of the recruiting procedure. The primary advantage would be the diminish time for recruiting. Online enlistment, is additionally called e-enrollment has empower a chief to have a prompt constant correspondence and for regular and consistently in pursuit of employment movement. For instance, a director can post an opportunity in a brief timeframe on a vocation site, for example, jobstreet. com without impersonation. The individual can get continues accordingly right away. In online occupation notice, the posting ordinarily remains in accessible status for up to one month and keeps on to get candidates’ continues as employment searchers run over it. As contrasted and the customary practices, work notice in paper or diary may take around multi week or later howe ver not just for one day. In this way, boss needs to hold up till the finish of month to get the reactions by candidates, particularly for the individuals who need prompt opening and extraordinary territories industry. Bayt. com, 2009) According to Bayt. com, employing in e-enrollment gives 70% quicker than conventional enlistment rehearses, and the pattern of selecting is speeded up at each procedure of posting, which is to get applicant’s continues and channel the data and call for meet. The second advantage of e-enlistment is practical. We need cash to publicize the activity opportunity in paper or diary, and this isn't modest for the promotion. While the web based posting is a lot less expensive as contrasted and customary practices. As indicated by bayt. com, the organization present online on a place of work, for example, www. bayt. com would be charged just USD250, which would be more cost-sparing than the expense of employment notice in paper or diary distribution or the 30% of yearly salaries that numerous work force supervisors charge. Bayt. com shows an examination that the expenses of posting opportunity and scanning for competitors on work opening can be up to 90% lower than the expenses of adjusting conventional hunt offices and publicizing rehearses. (Bayt. com, 2009) Third advantage is more extensive reach for director. The data of conventional practices are ordinarily confined by industry, topography, vocation switch or different constraints while the e-enrollment can have later and dynamic ability databases that spread all enterprises, districts, and profession levels. The organization spent a lot to ensure the databases are fluctuated, customary refreshed, significant and best quality as they have to continue promoting in paper for changing, refreshing data. Be that as it may, e-enrollment groups can guarantee that the entries are in every case effectively saw by important candidates and are visited by the objective occupation searchers which can without much of a stretch reach to the director. Bayt. com, 2009) Next advantage would be the more extensive reach for candidates. The competitors gain profits by the more extensive range through web places of work. With the snap of a mouse, they can get to various sorts of employments in various organizations, areas and even pay rates. They can arrive a t the organization quicker as they are effortlessly reached for talk with circumstances by simply sending their resumes on the web. (Bayt. com, 2009) E-enlistment offers some screening or separating apparatuses which empower enrollment specialists to promptly deal with the correct candidate utilizing numerous classes on a site, for example, jobstreet. om, which including areas of living arrangement, capabilities, instruction foundations, abilities and past experience and boss. The procedure of e-enrolling and choosing great quality candidates is effective. This innovation works via robotized internet searcher which is set up to discover the databases. For instance manager can enter in a portion of the necessities then the outcome would coordinate with the candidates’ resumes. (Bayt. com. 2009) In online enrollment, organization ordinarily would set up a page like organization profile or history for the possibility to see on it. Through this, businesses can utilize this to make organization brand and qualities to forthcoming employment searchers. In this way, candidates would settle on choice on applying that activity as they have a thought regarding organization they work for. (Bayt. com, 2009) Furthermore, through web, enrollment specialist can oversee entire enlistment process from one mean, which empower spotter to publicize opening, get resumes, screen, contact candidates, track exercises in web. Along these lines, the desk work is diminished. On the opposite side, the activity searchers can likewise see their application progress at each progression of enrollment process. This upgraded client experience for both occupation searchers and selection representatives. What's more, both occupation searchers and spotters can select to keep up their privacy. For instance, candidates can post their resumes on the web while keeping their names and current company’s name secretly. Same thing to enrollment specialists, they can decide to look through databases without posting an occupation position if the opening nature is touchy, and they can post an occupation opportunity while staying with their name secretly. Managers can likewise develop database, spare high potential or appealing resumes from present candidates for sometime later. Bayt. com, 2009) Moreover, the supervisor has full power over the enrollment procedure through online enlistment, which empowers direct contact with applicants which needn't bother with a center individual to do the choice, separating, and appraisal. (Bayt. com, 2009) This is on the grounds that selection representative can pick the best applicant through their subtleties in resume and match with the position, which doesn't require such an extensive amount formality. E-enrollment has brought such a large number of advantages to associations, just as employment searchers. Aside from its advantage, e-enrollment has many downsides to the associations. As a matter of first importance, e-enlistment benefits for just candidates who knew web information. The procedure is constrained to those PC insightful candidates. For the individuals who know the utilization of web, they have no issue to look through changed occupation sites, do screening, catchphrases, refreshing data. Along these lines, it brings no advantage for the individuals who don't know to utilize online place of work. (Ghosh, nd) Besides that, organization must be specific on lawful outcomes since it might prompt segregation charge if the organization didn't mindful of word utilized when posting the promotion on the web. There is one model for Disney world, which was sued for screening applicants’ continues by utilizing the catchphrases favored for Whites. (Ghosh, nd) As online enrollment turned into a pattern, an ever increasing number of candidates joined and apply for opportunity. The immense pool of applicants does benefits scouts yet in addition lead detriment to them. This is on the grounds that they need to plunk down and do a great deal of profound checking database. They probably won't see all the competitors which may pass up a major opportunity the absolute best potential applicants as they would haphazardly pick up-and-comers. Subsequently, candidates face more rivalry. Ghosh, nd) Furthermore, associations face some non-genuine up-and-comers. A lot of up-and-comers present their resumes just on realize their work esteem. Scouts couldn't check whether the up-and-comers are not kidding in applying work or not. At the point when call for talk with, enrollment specialists recently unde rstood that applicants are not genuine and not intrigued to join their organization. At that point, the selection representatives have dismissed some genuine candidates. (Gosh, nd) The last disadvantage is exposure of data. Candidate’s resumes and association profile are accessible to open. A few up-and-comers who are as yet working don't need their current business to realize that they are searching for a change. Some of candidates’ specifics, for example, address, telephone number has brought to numerous security issues. Furthermore, associations don't need their rivals know their present circumstance. (Ghosh, nd) To make e-enrollment increasingly viable, there are a few rules. Right off the bat we should profit the choice strategy. Organization ought to consider about various elements to make the method successful. Organization ought to examine and look at the expenses and its dangers by utilizing rate of profitability (ROI). It assists with assessing the arrival and assess the advantages

Saying Yes

Saying Yes In my most recent monthly newsletter, I offered a poll as to whether I should take a vacation from blogging or keep writing while I’m away at Dance Camp. The overwhelming majority of responders said I should take a vacation. Nevertheless, I wanted to share a quick thought from this week that might be valuable to you as you forge your life and career path. The Power of Yes There’s a computer room here at camp where I spend a couple of hours each morning. As I was getting up from my computer a couple of days ago, I audibly whacked my knee into the table leg. Ouch! “Do you want me to help you?” said a voice from the other side of the room. “I’m a trained massage therapist.” “I don’t think massage will help my bruised knee,” I responded, turning around to see a slim dark-skinned man I did not recognize. “Oh, I do Reiki too,” said the man, and I said “yes” to Reiki (a form of energy healing), which he gave to my knee. The knee stopped hurting almost immediately. The next thing I knew, this man from Ghana, whose name is Yaw, was giving healing to my rib area, where I still am having issues after my car accident, and showing me his electronic tools that he uses to help heal scar tissue (I have plenty of it internally from the various muscle tears in my abdominals that I’ve been dealing with for the past few months). I will be hiring Yaw for a full healing session in the next few days. Saying Yes in Business Also in the past week, I completed a questionnaire for Brava Magazine about, amongst other things, how my business got started. My interaction with Yaw and the way my business got off the ground have some parallels. When I first started my business, I became active on LinkedIn, where someone offered to help me and I said yes. A marketing professional, his idea was for me to offer free LinkedIn profile reviews to members. I said “yes,” which led to my writing articles about LinkedIn and being asked to lead webinars (I said “yes” to those requests too). I was open to what came into my life, and by saying “yes” eventually built a business and wrote my best-selling e-book, How to Write a KILLER LinkedIn Profile. The Alternative If I had said “no” to Yaw, or “no” to the marketer on LinkedIn, or “no” to the people who wanted me to deliver a webinar, my week at Dance Camp and my life would look much different right now. Of course it’s impossible to say yes to every opportunity that comes along, and I make choices all the time. But I wonder how many opportunities I let pass me by that would be a contribution to my life? What are you saying “yes” and “no” to in your life? Is there more room for “yes”? What have you said “yes” to that has led to something unexpected? I’d love to hear your thoughts and stories. And maybe I’ll take next week off…

The river throws a loop that meanders through the grounds forming two small islands that can be booked for social functions by members in the warmer weather. For a small fee, students can join the Darwin punt club gaining access to the college’s five punts and several kayaks throughout the year. This compact site is an attractive 5-minute, meadow walk, from the city centre. It was the first in the university to exclusively accept postgraduate students only, and was established in 1964 by three of the ancient colleges, Trinity, St John’s and Gonville and Caius. It was named after the Darwin family, who previously owned the original property. Adjoining buildings and additional nearby hostels were added, as and when the opportunities presented themselves. The Rayne Foundation, along with the founding trio, funded conversions, extensions and general work to turn the site into a fully functioning college. The result is not a series of courtyards but a delightful long triangular strip containing a random and eclectic style of architecture, transformed into a magical space by the river. Cancer Diary of Osteosarcoma Free Essays

SUBMITTED BY: ARAGAW GEBEYEHU SUBMITTED: DR. FLORES ROZAS DATE OF SUBMISSION: 04/16/1801/26/12 My name is osteosarcoma. I am highly malignant tumor of mesenchymal origin and the second most common primary malignant bone tumor . We will write a custom essay sample on Cancer Diary of Osteosarcoma or any similar topic only for you Order Now I am originate from mesenchymal cells. I have spindle shape and hyper chromatic nucleus. I have been formed when osteoblasts cells secreted malignant osteoid. I am like osteoblast (bone forming) cells, but I cannot make strong matrix like them. You know that osteoblasts originate from immature mesenchymal stem cells. So my ancestors are from those. But I am already modified in to osteosarcoma cell. I can occur at any bones found in the body. I am more frequent at sites of the most rapid bone growth; those are extremities of long bones near metaphyseal growth plates. From the sites that I frequently choose ;distal and proximal end of femur (42%),proximal end of tibia(19%), proximal end of humerus (10%), pelvis skull and jaw(85%) and pelvis( 8%). I can be appearing 1 to 3 million people per year. Off course, I am rare compared to other types of cancer. I can attack any age as primary osteosarcoma but mostly between 10-25yrs. I can also come at older individuals as secondary osteosarcoma. I affect males little bit more than females. I am most common in patients with Fraumeni syndrome, Rothmund-Thomson syndrome, Bloom and Werner syndromes. Exposing to Paget disease and ionizing radiation give favorable conditions for me to develop our colony. Fig 1. Osteosarcoma genesis and osteogenesis When I was changing to osteosarcoma, there was a mutations of MDM2 amplifications which led to p53 gene inactivation. Another controller gen which is called retinoblastoma (RB) genes was also altered. I become safe because there is no more check point and control for me .But the normal bone cells have several check points in their cell cycle. In the presence of RB mutations I will occur at an incidence 500 times that of the normal population. Normal cells are always worrying for G1/S check point but I am not, because the p53 and Rb genes are already mutated (lost their function). I am preparing more DNA and for that I am also synthesizing mRNA and important proteins. During my replication time I gained chromosome number 1 and lost chromosome 9, 10 and 13. Till now I am successfully dividing and I am forming other similar cells. In near future I will have my own colony of cells and my own sarcoma tissues01//14/2014As usual I was preparing to divide but the proteins detected a damage in my DNA. The damage was too big to be repaired. Even if it is bigger damage I will not go to programmed cell death called apoptosis. Because this is not my character. My only goal is to survive and proliferate more. This is my unique behavior. Of course I was not like this, I was following the normal path of cell cycle and programed cell death. This thing happened after I lost my DNA sequence that triggers cell death pathway.5/18/15Recently I got another mutations and my FOS and Jun proteins are up regulated. Those proteins are components of activator protein1 complex (AP-1). AP-1 his regulator of cell transcription. Now I am getting additional energy because my transcription regulators are out of service. I can proliferate freely and destroy bone cortex and extend towards bone marrow cavity and soon out wards towards adjacent soft tissues.10/17/15I am now thinking why not I visit other organs. I have information lung, liver and also other bones are the safe place and more fertile to me . When I become more organize, I can migrate and live there. I am already resistant to programed cell death (anoikis) and can exhibit anchorage independent growth (AIG). Abnormal integrin? v6, Rho, ATPase e.g. Racl and Cdc42 upregulated p13 kinases which in turn inhibited proapoptotic factor Bad and this protected me from apoptosis even when I am not attached to any membrane. Now I have bigger size with hypoxic and acidic environment. So I need supporting blood vessels to obtain oxygen and nutrients I have done angiogenesis for my sustained growth and further metastasis. My intrinsic conditions have to lead to stimulation of von Hippie Lindau protein. It releases hypoxia inducible factor-1? (HIF-?)which further up regulates several VEGF gene such as VEGF A through VEGF E. This further releases Nitric oxide (NO) from endothelial cells and results in vasodilation and increased vascular permeability. By doing those processes I got leaky and irregular vasculature.3/14/16 I am starting flight to lung. I am using integrin proteins, which found in my surface ,in attaching to matrix proteins (fibronectin). For my signal transduction and interaction with other cells, I use integrin along with ezrin protein ,foal adhesion kinase (FAK),protein kinase C (PKC) and Rho GTPase. They also help me for my conformational changes. Besides to this matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) are helping me in my sojourn through blood vessels and tissue renewal process. Now I have reached the lungs and I am growing, multiplying and consuming all nutrients. It is like as I heard .I like it.10/10/2016Today, the patient could not resist me .He took me to hospital. Because I create sever pain and swelling. I was diagnosed by radiograph as high grade sarcoma. Additionally they did CT scan, RI and biopsy and confirmed my stage. They are now discussing to fight against me.Yes they have started chemotherapy (high dose methotrexate, doxorubicin and cisplatin). I have been fighting against those drugs for the last three months and I am now getting old, starving and feeling weaker day by day. Oh those drugs become treble for me. Methotrexate is a dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor, it can block folic acid supply which is needed for my RNA and DNA synthesis. Doxorubicin which is also a drug that interact with my DNA and inhibits biosynthesis of macro molecules. Cisplatin causes damage to my DNA. I have to create solutions, because I am no longer able to make RNA efficiently. But I am struggling to continue my life. I got another mutations which is alteration in reduced folate reductase (RFC) protein Leu291pro.Yes I did it. This alteration unable carrier to transport methotrexate towards me .Besides to this, membrane pump-glycoproteins (P-gp) is also helping me with pumping out these drugs. Due to this I start dividing and spreading slowly but steadily. Other worse situations are happening to me, they are using high energy rays (x-rays) to kill me. I am no longer able to grow. I am shrinking. 4/14/18The worst thing are happened on me. Now, they are performing surgery and removing me as cancerous tissue. I was sending my daughters to afar to lung. By myself I am highly depressed and weak due to huge loss my colony. I try to grow and spread again by my reserve soldiers and by those immigrant members. They are still in dilemma to administer chemotherapeutic agent after surgery. The people are always struggling to combat me and other friends. If they post-surgery chemotherapy no more survival .I say good bye I will not be there anymore. REFERENCE Biomarkers in osteosarcoma, Colin Kong, M.S and Marc F. The companies estimate price elasticity of demand for commodities that helps in predicting the affect on sale of product pricing (Hubbard et al., 2012). It facilitates the firms in making proper revenue projections and generates accurate budgets. However, this improves the business operation and financial performance. Demand elasticity can be of different types that includes- income elasticity, cross price elasticity, own price elasticity. A product can be perfectly elastic (e=), perfectly inelastic (e=0) and unitary elastic (e=1) (Baumol and Blinder, 2015). Price elasticity of demand is important for each producer as it provides an idea about the consumers consumption of goods due to price change. Every producer strategizes to decrease the goods price if the demand for good is price elastic ( Mankiw, 2014). On the contrary, producer raises the goods price if the goods demand is price inelastic. These strategies assist the producer in attaining higher profit and compete with the other manufacturers. If the demand for good is inelastic, a certain rise in its price will lead to rise in total revenue with quantity demanded of goods remaining unchanged. On the other hand, in case of elastic good, a rise in quantity demanded will have no effect on goods price. This is illustrated with the help of the diagram given below: Figure 1: decrease in price due to increase in supply with quanity remaining constant in case of inelastic demand Source: ( Created by author) Figure 2: Increase in price due to decrease in supply with quantity remaining constant in case of inelastic demand Source: (Created by author) Figure 3: Increase in quantity due to increase in supply with price remaining constant in case of elastic demand Source: (Created by author) Figure 4: Decrease in quantity due to decrease in supply with price remaining constant in case of elastic demand Source: (Created by author) Difference between comparative and absolute advantage Comparative and absolute advantages are two vital theories in international trade. Absolute advantage refers to the ability of the nation for producing certain commodity in efficient way than another nation. On the other hand, comparative advantage refers to the capability of the economy to produce certain product with less opportunity cost than other economy (Laursen, 2015). Trading between two nations does not gain mutually in case of absolute advantage whereas in case of comparative advantage, both the nations benefit mutually from trading. Absolute advantage considers advantage in producing abundant goods while comparative advantage considers nation overall production during a particular period (Schumacher, 2012). Comparative advantage bestows a firm the ability in selling goods at low price from rivalries for realizing higher sales margins while absolute advantage facilitates in comparing productivity of various manufacturers. Specialization refers to as the tendency of the nation to specialize in certain a product for which trading is done for some other product. Specialization benefits the country in having higher economic efficiency and growth opportunities for other sectors. Specialization in fabrication of products in which the countries have absolute advantage assists two countries in doing trade (Feenstra, 2015). On the other hand, exchange rate also helps the countries in enhancing international trade. However, weak domestic currency motivates export and creates imports highly expensive References Baumol, W.
